We are a new boutique fitness studio designed to meet the needs of seasoned gym goers, weekend warriors, beginners and athletes alike, in a semi-private group setting.
Matt and Karen have years of coaching experience between them. Having coached together at a previous gym in town, both took separate paths during the pandemic. Matt opened his own training studio just down the road while continuing his job as the Strength and Conditioning Coach at Nutley High School, while Karen braved the elements and coached year round outdoor workouts. Both coaches have gone beyond the basics in terms of certifications and are forever dedicated to continuing their education.
As fitness enthusiasts ourselves, we understand that fitness provides more than just a physical outlet. In these ever changing times, it is important to engage in routines that provide physical and mental release, but also ones that help you engage with your community. At Boost Fitness, we hope to build that community for you by fostering an environment where everyone is welcome and part of the family.
Gym wide challenges are always popping up! As we look toward warmer weather we have a strength and conditioning challenge competing against a sister gym. Memorial Day Weekend will see our 2nd Murph Challenge and we look to add nutritional counseling to our list of offerings. Stay tuned!
We run 25+ classes a week, capping class size in order to create a more personalized experience. Our classes differ depending on the day, but can include strength based training, endurance training, metabolic conditioning and recovery. You can expect to never get the same workout twice!
Athletes looking to gain an edge on competition have turned to Boost Fitness to fill the gaps in their technical and sport specific training. Since opening we have worked with athletes spanning many sports including:Nutley Bombers Baseball*Nutley High Basketball*Nutley High Rowing*NESA/Academy soccer, Raiders Football
Sign your athlete up to learn the fundamentals, safety, efficacy and applicability of high performance sports training. Classes will be capped at 10 participants with student only pricing. Check the schedule for class times!
An introduction to the fundamentals of strength training, with a focus on proper form, appropriate load and progression in mind. The program will be held Mondays and Wednesdays at 4 pm.
